Commercial Bank of California’s (CBC) Vice President, Development Officer, Alyssa Rizo has been appointed president of the National Latina Business Women Association – Los Angeles Chapter (NLBWA-LA). She was sworn in by California Assembly Member Wendy Carrillo at the association’s annual Latinas in Business Awardson June 28th at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. Alyssa will serve a 2-year term that began on July 1, 2018. CBC is a year-round sponsor of NLBWA-LA and the bank’s CRA and Compliance Officer, Jenn Burruel presented the organization’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Alyssa focuses on CBC’s new client acquisition and retention. Through her work, she is dedicated to securing the financial foundations for municipalities and payment solutions for businesses.
For the 15th consecutive year, the NLBWA-LAhas honored women entrepreneurs, executives and corporate professionals who are making a difference in the Latino community. The annual Latinas in Business Awardshonors successful Latina entrepreneurs, community leaders and corporate executives within a variety of business industries. Over 500 guests attended the signature event to recognize and support Latinas in business and corporate leaders that are making a difference in our communities. Attendees of the Annual Latinas in Business Awards include past honorees and nominees, NLBWA-LA members, community leaders, business owners, and corporate professionals that have developed a partnership with the non-profit organization.
